Celebrating the Re-Opening of our Museum
Sunday June 5, 2022 as a day of celebration at the Grace Dee May Museum as Most Worshipful Melvyn B. Stein, Past Grand Master of Masons in California, presided at our ribbon cutting ceremony. After two years of being locked down due to the pandemic, the Grace Dee May Museum is now open and welcoming visitors to explore our gallery and library. A live theatrical performance of "This Is Your Life ... Brother George Washington" highlights the remarkable life and times of the Father of our Country as Washington is surprised by many of America's Founding Fathers and extraordinary patriots including Sam Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock, Betsy Ross and more.
Our 2020 Performance debuted at the Grace Dee May Museum in the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, February 16, 2020. This event was so well received by the audience we will likely schedule an encore in the near future.
Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
It’s official – the Grace Dee May Museum is OPEN!. An enthusiastic crowd applauded the ceremonial ribbon cutting at the grand opening of the Grace Dee May Museum. Curator Sean Foran joined Seb Badoyan, Potentate of Al Malaikah Shriners, and actress-vocalist and proud member of the family of John Wayne, Shana Carr, to officially open the museum.
